Serve at The Cross Church
As followers of Jesus we are called to use whatever God has given us to serve Him and meet the needs of others, and you are invited to use your time, gifts and abilities to advance His kingdom through the ministries of The Cross Church.

Areas of Serving
Did you know that anyone who visits a church decides whether or nit they are coming back for a second visit within 7 minutes of their first visit, from the time they pull into the parking lot? Our First Impressions Teams set the course for visitor and member worship experiences at The Cross Church.
PARKING - Help with greeting and assisting members and guests from the parking lot to the door, including valet parking.
GREETERS - Welcome members and guests as they arrive, answer questions, and assist new guests in finding their way and a place to belong in the church.
USHERS - Welcome people and help them find a place to sit in worship services.
MEDICAL - Respond to medical needs that may arise during weekend services and execute safety response plans in the event of an emergency.
SAFETY - Provide a safety presence in parking lots, hallways, common areas, and outside grounds and execute safety response plans in the event of an emergency.
COMMONS CAFE - Prepare and serve coffee, pastries, and other beverages before, during, and after worship services and other events.
HELPING HANDS - Assist with office projects during weekdays.
CAMPUS SUPPORT - Assist with small campus maintenance projects, painting, small construction, landscaping, and event set up.
CREATIVE PROJECTS - Help execute creative projects throughout the life of the church, inside and outside the church. This team will create and execute different types of creative projects from Christmas to summer projects.
The Worship and production Teams are what prepare us for an attitude of worship. From setting up microphones to playing an instrument, all of these roles are essential to creating and environment of praise and worship on our campus and to all those who join us online across the globe.
AUDIO ENGINEER - Set up and prepare microphones, in-ear monitors, and personal mixers for the worship band. Engineer and mix live sound during weekend experiences. Training provided.
CAMERA OPERATOR - Operate video cameras during weekend worship experiences. Camera operators listen to the director and capture video shots as directed. Training provided.
LIGHTING TECH - Run a computer-based lighting system during weekend worship experiences and learn to program and troubleshoot the lighting system and fixtures. Training provided.
PROPRESENTER OPERATORS - Operate and monitor the computer program that displays lyrics and videos on screen during the weekend worship experience with opportunities to learn how to set up and program elements for services. Training provided.
MUSICIANS - Skilled musicians & vocalists with previous band experience lead our congregation in worship through music.
iCAMPUS - Host online worship services. Monitor the chat feeds and engage with people online. No technical knowledge required.
STAGE CREW - Provide assistance backstage during worship services.
SET DESIGN - Help install stage elements that enhance and impact the worship service.
Through the joys and challenges that come with school, friends and family, The Cross Church is committed to helping the next generation take steps towards Christ. We are also committed to partnering with parents as they guide their children through seasons of life.
GREETERS - Welcome families in the Kids welcome area, answering questions and providing assistance during drop-off and pick-up time.
GUEST SERVICES - Volunteers assist families with check-in, collect information from guests and help with enrollment in the appropriate age group. They are also responsible for posting weekly attendance.
GROWTH GROUP LEADERS - Facilitate Bible study in a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. Ages birth - 12th grade.
TEACHING TEAMS - Lead 1st - 4th grade large groups with games, skits and Bible lessons that compliment Growth Group lessons.
VIP - Provide dedicated assistance to kids with special needs.
MEDIA TEAM - operate the lights, sound board, and ProPresenter for Next Generation worship experience.
KIDS WORSHIP - Lead Preschoolers and Kids in praise and worship with songs and motions, building a foundation for praising God.
MIDWEEK - Lead or support Wednesday night worship and activities.
Campus Growth Group leaders who lead a small group of adults through teaching, providing hospitality, organizing worship/ministry events, or caring for members. These groups meet on the church campus.
Home Life Group leaders who lead a small group of adults through teaching, providing hospitality, organizing worship/ministry events, or caring for members. These groups meet at host home.
Encouragers - Help connect people to Christ, through prayer, and to the church by welcoming new members and counseling decisions during and following worship services in the connection center.
Leaders and assistants help with Bible study and ministry to college students and young adults by hosting home groups and engaging through special events, conferences and mission trips.
Hope for the Cities – A ministry of FBW that serves the community needs by feeding the hungry and connecting people to needed resources. Volunteers can help with the feeding ministry by packing in the Hope for the Cities warehouse and delivering to the community every Monday and Thursday.
Our Calling – A ministry partner to the homeless community in Dallas. Each month we take teams to evangelize on the streets with the search and rescue ministry, as well as organizing supplies serving at the Our Calling ministry center. During the Fall we take teams to share the Gospel and feed the guests at the ministry with their Monday Night Football ministry.
Disciples for Christ – Serves in the Texas prison system at the Boyd Unit in Teague through chapel services, life skill seminars, and an annual blessing bag outreach to the inmates.
Lone Star Search and Rescue – A Christ-centered, community-oriented, K-9 search and rescue team dedicated to assisting law enforcement and fire departments in their efforts to locate and save lives.
